The monitor seems to be flickering. What can I do?
- Please check the pins of signal connector. If the pins are bent or lost, please contact the dealer.
- A wrong setting of the display card can be the cause for a flickering screen.
See “How do I set the scan rate?” Or check scan rate , and set the display card to acceptable range.
How do I set the refresh rate?
In order to set the refresh rate, please follow the next steps:
- Click “start”, click on “settings”, choose “control panel In the window which then opens you click “display
Note:
you can also get to this stage by clicking on a free space on your desktop with the right mouse tap and by choosing “properties”
- The window which will then pops up is called “display properties”, Please click “settings” and click “advanced” on the right below.
- Click “monitor” in the window which then pops up.
- You can now adjust the refresh frequency in the option area “refresh
frequency rate”. In most cases the human eye does not notice a
flickering screen anymore, starting from a refresh frequency at the
rate of 72Hz. This is, however, also depends on the techniques and
surrounding facts. By confirming both windows with “OK”,
the new setting will be adjusted!
The chosen setting may possibly be tested for 15 sec. If you do not
confirm the requirement “maintain chosen settings?”. E.g
because the monitor cannot display the chosen refresh frequency, the
former setting will be restored after that period of 15 sec.
How can I adjust the resolution?
To change the monitor resolution, follow the next steps:
- click Start – settings-control Panel.
- In the next window please choose “display”, the window which pops up then is called”display properties”.
- Click on “settings”. By using the slide controller “display resolution” the desired resolution can be adjusted.
- The chosen setting may possibly be tested for 15 sec. If you do not
confirm the requirement “maintain chosen settings?”. E.g
because the monitor cannot display the chosen refresh frequency, the
former setting will be restored after that period of 15 sec.
How are the resolution and graphic card associated together?
It depends on your graphic card which resolution options are available.
Depending on the performance and memory qualities of the graphic card
that is being used, the colour quality as well as the refresh
frequency can be reduced when choosing high resolutions. With modern
devices possible settings are pinpointed by the exchange of data(DDC)
between those devices. The monitor conveys its maximum and/or ideal
operating parameters to the graphic card. The graphic card will then
set itself on the ideal rate or it will reduce the chosen setting to
the one which is possible for this monitor.
No power, no function
- Set the power switch to ON on the LCD panel. The LED will light up on the front of the panel.
- Make sure the power cord in the back of the panel is securely connected into a power outlet.
- Check the power source using another electrical device to make sure the power source is supplying sufficient voltage.
Power on but no video
- Make sure the video cable supplied with the panel is tightly secured to the video card in the computer.
- Check the power-saving mode, click a button or move the mouse to end the power-saving mode
- Under circumstances modern graphic cards have several signal output options. Please test this by sticking the signal cable in the additional output and check if it is functioning.
- Please check the socket of the signal cable of the monitor. If the pins are bent or lost, please contact the dealer.
- Please refer to your manual whether you need a special adapter socket
Colour problems
- Please check the signal cable to make sure that it is connected correctly to the monitor as well as to the graphic card in case a specific colour is missing.
- Please check the socket of the signal cable of the monitor. If the pins are bent or lost, please contact the dealer.
- Test the Monitor by connecting it to a different computer.
Scrolling image
- Make sure the video input signals are within the monitor's specified frequency range.
- Try the monitor with another power source and/or computer system.
- Connect the video cable securely.
The screen is getting worse after having connected my signal cable via an extension?
To guarantee an ideal display quality , try to avoid using an extension
cord because by doing this, the signal quality will be drastically
reduced and the picture displayed will be worse. Should you not be
able to do without an extension please use a high-valued cable.
What are pixel faults and in which case is it a warranty claim?
Pixel faults are defined in the norm ISO 13406-2.
One screen dot(pixel) is
made up of three colourful dots(subpixels): thus a green, a red and a
blue subpixel form one pixel. Due to different types of brightness of
the singular pixels, different colours are displayed. If all three
subpixels are activated, you will have one white lit pixel, if all
three subpixels unlit, you will have a black pixel. If only one
subpixel is defective(always white or always black), the pixel shows
a wrong colour.
The following pixel faults are permitted to show without warranty claim:
3 white pixels(full screen dots)
or
3 black pixels(full screen dots)
or
7 faulty subpixels(singular dots)
The screen is jittering unregularly?
Please adjust OSD from the function menu, and select “ PHASE”.
For a correct adjustment please refer to the user manual.
